“We make a living by what we get, but we make a life but what we give.” – Winston Churchill
Salvacion Farmers Development Cooperative (SAFADECO) was on the move again in serving its community! On January 22, 2022 (Saturday), SAFADECO top management, board of directors and staffs conducted a Feeding Activity to one hundred twenty children of Brgy. San Juan Roro, East District Sorsogon City. The said activity was in partnership with 313 billiards and Gibalon Sorsogon Eagles Club. Our cooperative upholds one of the seven principles which is caring for the community and for several years, it has been our cooperative tradition to conduct a food feeding activity to our chosen barangay. The purpose of this activity is to promote food security and improve the nutritional status of the children by providing nutritious meal for the vulnerable children in the community affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and to strengthen the partnership between SAFADECO and the community.
There was a short program to acknowledge the partners and fun games followed to ease the stress of the children especially this time of pandemic. We are filled with joy knowing that we made these children ecstatic! The cheerful children and their bright smiles want us to do more to be able to share more. We would also like to expressed our heartfelt gratitude to the barangay council headed by the barangay Captain, sir Joel Laresma for the warm welcome and for accommodating us. Our appreciation also to our sponsors, the 313 billiards and the Gibalon Eagles Club who also joined us during the said activity. We highly appreciate your support.
Indeed, kindness is a gift everyone can afford to give. Let’s try to be a rainbow in someone else’s cloud.
* All of the staffs were fully vaccinated and observed the health protocols to ensure the safety of these children. They were also accompanied by their parents for assistance.
