SAFADECO, Represented by its CEO Jessica Samantha Dob-Acleta, was elected as the Co-chairperson of the Provincial Small and Medium Enterprise Development Council (PSMEDC) during the Organizational Meeting facilitated by DTI headed by OIC PD Ma. Lourdes D. Pancho, on March 31, 2022 at DTI Sorsogon Provincial Office, 2nd flr, Clemente Bldg., Piot, Sorsogon City.
PSMEDC was created by virtue of Sec.6, Chapter 11 of RA 6911 and is an attached council to the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). Its main function is to promote, develop, and assist the micro, small, and medium enterprises in the province.
The said council is automatically chaired by the Governor and co-chaired by Atty. Acleta of SAFADECO. Elected as Vice Chairperson is a representative from MSMEs Ms. Myra Zandra Navarro-Gestadia, the owner of Vickyβs Pili.
The said meeting was attended by representatives from DTI, DENR, DOST, LBP, DILG, PPDO, OPAG, and TESDA.
